HE Abdulrahman Al Saleh is a Chartered Management Accountant by profession and a finance expert, who was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors, Dubai World, in December 2010. He is the Director General of the Department Of Finance, Government of Dubai, and also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Financial Support Fund.
Prior to joining Department of Finance, HE Al Saleh spent four years as the Senior Executive Director for Corporate Affairs in Dubai Customs. In this role, he was responsible for managing the support departments, including Finance, HR Management, HR Development and Admin Services. He chaired a number of committees in Dubai Customs, such as the panel on Value Added Tax, Employee Affairs Committee, and Executive Credit Policy Committee, and was a Member of Reform & Modernisation Programme Committee and Information Technology Steering Committee.
HE Al Saleh has held numerous key finance and accounting positions in government departments at the local and federal levels. His vast experience as a policy maker includes participation in various organisational and strategic committees, including the Executive Credit Policy Committee and Task Force for Indirect Taxation.
He is a member of Supreme Fiscal Committee and also a Board Member of Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC and the Chairman of Taleem PJSC.
HE Al Saleh was member of the High Committee for the Regulation of the Audit Profession in UAE, and is a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the UK. He holds an Executive MBA from the American University of Sharjah.
